Reducing throughput times at hardening company Gerster

Since 1950 hardening company Gerster is the acknowledged specialist for technical heat treatment. It offers individual heat treatment solutions from the smallest part of a clock to large work pieces for machines for national and international customers, convincing with its comprehensive service range including competent consulting and a broad range of methods.

After intensively selecting and examining the functions and features of AMS, intensively assessing TTC Informatik and unsuccessfully trying to convert by means of a large well-known software company, Gerster decided in spring 2013 to obtain the software by TTC Informatik.

Since April 2014 Gerster uses our order processing software AMS in Egerkingen, Switzerland. After 12 month of preparation AMS replaced the outdated former software system. One and a half years later first successes can be observed. The average throughput time (incoming of goods until delivery to the end customer) could be reduced significantly. The new transparency gained through AMS and the integrated expert system support the employees at registration, planning and production up until quality assurance and logistics while being tailored exactly to the company's needs, considerably optimizing the throughput time for customers of Gerster.
